Start Your Career in Safety
There are different ways to begin a career in occupational health and safety. You don't need to have your entire career mapped out before you start.
Explore the roles you could work towards, the skills you'll need and the NOSA training that can help you get started.
A Career in Health and Safety Can Start in Different Ways
Some people begin by taking on health and safety responsibilities as part of their existing job. Others already know that they want to build a full-time career in HSE.
An HSE Representative role can be one way to gain practical experience. It is not always a full-time position, but it can introduce you to responsibilities such as identifying hazards and risks, participating in safety committees and assisting with incident investigations.
