Thobeka Makhanya
Future operations director

In 2016 Thobeka took up a learnership in Business Administration, and recently became a permanent employee at NOSA. “I have a friend who had previously completed a warehousing skills programme at NOSA,” she says. “I was later encouraged to take up a learnership in Business Administration, with hopes of securing a position in administration.”

She says that the learnership has changed her careers in more ways than one. “I have more understanding of administration procedures, and I know more about customer services, HR procedures and dealing with difficult customers. I have also learned how to properly/formally answer a work call, how to conduct myself and treat others who have different cultures, backgrounds and race with respect, and how to thrive under pressure. I also understand the importance of working as a team player, as well as how to work alone.”
