If you serve any food on your premises, food safety should be a concern.
The main objective of NOSA’s Food Safety Risk Management programme is to assist government and the food industry in their efforts to:
- Guarantee that the best practice testing, audit and certification procedures are available in South Africa;
- Ensure that regulators and industry stakeholders can build the right methods and practices into the regulatory framework;
- Act as an independent third-party conducting audits, sampling and testing of food producers so that all stakeholders have access to data that minimises risk to consumers and demonstrates compliance to regulations; and,
- Aid in the reduction of food waste caused by sub-standard raw materials coming into the food supply chain.
