The course, divided into six parts, will provide learners with a better understanding of the concept of legal liability and how legislation regulates and enforces it.

On completion of this course the learner will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the OHS Act (procedures and regulations).

The course will enable learners to understand the importance of compliance to safety, health and environmental legal and other requirements for a specific workplace and the importance of integrating safety, health and environmental considerations into all routine activities at the workplace. This course will take the learners through a detailed and proven procedure for effective internal audits. Whilst the course is directed towards the NOSA HSE Management System, the principles can be applied to audit any HSE system/process.

Upon completion of this course, the learner will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the basic legal requirements in term of injuries and diseases.

Upon completion of the course, the successful learner should have the knowledge and skills (competence) to assess an organisation’s conformance against the requirements of ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 14001: 2015, utilising the international guidelines for auditing management systems (ISO 19011: 2018).

Upon completion of the course, the successful learner will have a sound understanding of environmental management systems (EMS) and a methodology for their implementation.
