Basic rigging procedures
This course is aligned to the outcomes of SAQA unit standard 14706, but is not a SETA accredited course, which aims to provide learners with the ability to conduct basic rigging practices.
Qualifying learners will be able to conduct basic rigging practices (under supervision), in accordance with legislative and job requirements. This includes the inspection, selection and use of slings and lifting tackle to safely lift, move and stack loads not exceeding two metric tonnes.

- Prerequisites: Basic Working at Height or IWH Basic Fall Arrest Technician designation, two certified copies of ID/passport, certified copy of highest qualification, valid work-at-height medical certificate of fitness, issued by an occupational health practitioner (OHP)
